What makes a forward valuable? NHL forwards are the primary offensive producers, responsible for the majority of goals and assists. In fantasy hockey, forwards fill multiple roster spots (C, LW, RW, F, UTIL) making them essential lineup pieces.
Position breakdown
- Centers (C): Best for faceoffs, often PP1 quarterbacks, typically highest assist rates - Left Wings (LW): Often the triggermen on power plays, strong goal-scoring upside - Right Wings (RW): Frequently the "finishers" on lines, good for shots and goals
